Dan was planning to drop out of college. He knew exactly why, but he didn't tell anyone. He just said he thought he wasn't smart enough. The real reason that he was dropping out was because his girlfriend, Serena, and him had broken up. They were in the same college, and he thought he could get over her by dating other girls. He took that too far, and started dating multiple girls at a time.
Yes, the girls did find out, but that didn't stop Dan. He's a nobody, or at least, he was. Inside, he knew that he just couldn't get over the thought of Serena dating other people. Serena stayed loyal, and even though her and Dan were broken up, she still didn't date anyone. Serena finally found out that he was dating other people, and so he asked to go on a date to a bar with them. That, went way wrong. Things happened that no one would of ever imagined.
Serena's friends thought it would be "Funny" to see Dan's date lose her hair. So they mixed up a drink, and splashed it in her hair. In no time at all, her hair was falling out. Dan thought that Serena was the one that did it and told her to stay away from him. Serena was broken, but Dan would never know that.
Now, here's Dan. At the verge of breaking. Standing on the edge of the cliff that him and Serena met at. Dan was not broken, but only beginning to break. He couldn't take the pain anymore. He stood at the edge of the cliff, waiting. For maybe a phone call, or maybe a text, to tell him that she still cared. Does she still care? What is she doing right now? Is she still single? He would never know the truth. Never.
Here's Serena. Shes sitting at the edge of her bed, with her shoe box. Going threw all the memories that her and Dan had together. She was so sad. She was broken. She dropped the box, and lie down at the edge of her bed, waiting. For him to call. To know he still cared. To fell loved again. Does he still care? What is he doing right now? Is he still single? She would never know the truth. Never.
My dad is taking me somewhere today. I don't know where. He said it was important. Here we are, riding in the car, on a gravel road, towards what seems to be the end of the road. The car stops. My dad tells me to wait here. There are cops, and they're looking down the cliff. There's a helicopter over head. After my dad talks for about an hour, he comes back.
"Dan's dead, Jenny." My dad says to me.
Waiting, at my door for the truth of what happened to my sister. The paramedics walk out with an outstretched body bag. I over hear my mom and the doctors talking. I hear the words "Gun" "Box" and "Gone". Was she gone? is my sister really dead? I walk up to her room. Caution tape and cops are swarming threw my house. I cross the tape, and into her room. Blood. That's all I see. It's splattered on the wall above her bed, and a big spot on her bed.
"Serena's gone, Eric." I hear my mom say.
After all of this was over. I decided to write this story. My names Jenny, by the way, Jenny Humphrey. Dan's little sister. I'm not that young though, I work for a Fashion designer. I'm with a friend right now, Serena's younger brother. His names Eric Vanderwitz. Hes probably one of my best friends right now.. getting over the loss of our older siblings together is easier than doing it alone.
