In my opinion, the deep water was a great story! He was very descriptive. I loved how at the end he said he wasn’t afraid of swimming anymore. If I was him, I'd still be afraid of swimming, but I'm glad he conquered his fear. This story relates to me, except the part where he locked up in the water and couldn’t move.
As I said, the story relates to me. When I was little (maybe six or seven? ) I went swimming at the Kalahari. Well it was my second time there and I wanted to go down the big slide. Half way down the slide I realized that I couldn’t swim. It was 4 feet deep. (I was only about 3 1/2 feet tall) I started panicking half way down and I had to be saved by a lifeguard once I hit the bottom.
To this day I still cant swim. Once I was able to float on my back, that’s as far as I've ever gotten. I've also been able to doggy paddle and go to the bottom of the water and crawl along the bottom. Some of my friends say I act like a dolphin because I twirl under the water when I go along the floor of the pool/lake.
My point here is that even if your afraid of drowning or of the water, you should give it a chance. You wont know anything if you don’t ever try. That’s exacitaly whart the guy from this story did. He took A chance and got into the water. Maybe its his favorite thing to do now. Or maybe its his least favoirite, I don’t know but you should always take a chance and go for it.
